PRGF® - Endoret®

We are proud to provide our patients with the fantastic properties of PRGF (Plasma Rich in Growth Factors).

PRGF - New technology to speed recovery following implant treatment.

The process of placing implants is invasive and leaves a small wound in the soft connective tissues of the gum and underlying bone. With any wound, the body produces a special set of proteins that act at the site of the wound to stimulate the body’s natural repair process.

In using PRGF-ENDORET™ technology, we are able to separate these healing proteins from a small sample of the patient’s blood and apply them directly to the area of the wound to aid and accelerate the healing process.

To prepare the PRGF (“plasma rich in growth factor”) we take a small sample of the patient’s blood and treat it to produce a concentrated mixture of natural healing factors. This is then applied to the wound area in a carefully measured therapeutic dose to optimize the healing process.

What is PRGF Used For?

  • Bone grafting in preparation for dental implants
  • Sinus Lift Procedures
  • Repair of bone defects after removal of teeth or small cysts
  • Repair of fistulas between the sinus cavity and mouth
  • Repair of cleft lip and cleft palate defects

What are the advantages of PRGF?

  • Safe: Since PRGF is a product of the patient’s own blood there is no risk for disease transmission.
  • Convenient: This is performed in the office using a small amount of the patient’s own blood. It is done during the same surgical procedure and does not add any significant time to the procedure.
  • Better Healing: Increased stem cell differentiation leads to faster healing with a better end result.
  • Cost Effective: Because this is done in the office, the patient does not incur the same expenses as if it were in a hospital or blood bank.

Dental Corner is always researching new ways to improve the clinical process and make your visit as effective and pain-free as possible. With the arrival of PRGF technology, we can now offer a proven, safe and effective way to accelerate the healing process following the placement of dental implants.
